When I read through the July 2019 report from the NH Association of REALTORs, I see some interesting points. First they point out we are in a prolonged period of economic growth that surpasses (measured by consecutive months) all other periods of economic growth in this country. That’s quite a thing to ponder and to be thankful for!
In terms of real estate, there is a shortage of affordable housing and the statistics support that; homes sell quickly and pretty much at full price (the stats say homes on average are selling at 99% of the list price). Sales price increases have been steady but moderate which has enabled us to have a strong market despite the lack of inventory.
Patient buyers who are preapproved and ready to go will have better opportunities to find the right house at the right price!
